Our Group is arriving on Thursday

We are attending ALL of the scheduled events and have qualifying day pit passes (wooooohooooooo)

We will be staying in the Victory Circle campgrounds right on the main drag *Harmonson Road...spots 82 1 & 2 (look for the Robby Gordon & Tony Stewart Flags!!)

Our seats are PU 406 ROW 49 15-18 we are right on the aisle...

So if you are in the neighborhood, come see us at the campground or in the grandstands. :D

We'll be there - pulling in Thursday evening and staying until Monday morning. We are in Victory Circle - right up by the road at the end of the row. Pretty much where we were in the Spring. I forget exactly which row but look for the Bobby Labonte flag :wink:

We are going to be going up there to watch the bush and cup race.. Only bad thing is we are going to be stuck in the hotel.. Next year for sure we are going to camp.. Ive been looking at campers for the past couple months and hopefully I can get a good deal on one during the winter..

i got a really dumb question but do i need to buy a ticket for final Practice on sat if i have a ticket for the bush race.. also can u leave the track once u enter it?

No, your Busch Ticket is all you need for Saturday. And yes you can leave and come back in.

Penny and I are so excited about TMS. In fact we are in the Motorhome right now watching the Trucks at MartinV just to make sure everything works. We will spend the whole weekend here cooking out and watching tv. We will be pulling in late thursday and staying till monday at TMS I will post our campsite and seats when i go back to the house. I am looking foward to meet everybody and I am bring lots of beads, booze, and food. We have pit passes for the whole weekend and also have VIP parking for the weekend. I would like to sell the Parking passes so keep your ears open. Weeeeeeeeeeee

Hey North, you might want to get on eBay and sell your parking passes now...I have sold all of mine and have fetched a decent price for them. I still have my truck pass posted...but of the two sets I sold I got 75 for the Cup, 45 Busch each time...that alone will cover your beer money for the weekend....I hope :wink:

We will be camping in Lone star circle around v-89 by the heleport. Our seats are sec pu 107 row 37 so stop by and say hi. I will also have my laptop with me if anybody needs one. That said - sadly, we have to head to Louisiana in the morning for a funeral. :cry: Scott's Aunt passed away on Sunday morning - she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 6 weeks ago - they gave her 3 - 6 months but as you can see, she didn't make it long.

We'll be at the races - but we may be tuckered out before we even start! :shock:

I'll see you guys there as I probably won't get a chance to get back on here before we head that way. Everyone have very safe travels getting to the track. 8) The weather is going to be great!! Can't wait to get there! :D :D

Even saw a BigOpig in the pits climbing over the wall and getting on the track side of the pits. More later and have a lot of great pics and will be posting soon

It was great to finely put a face with the names. I wish that we could have stayed longer. We got home about 1:00 and got to bed about 2:00. We were to go and see a Soccer game this morning at 10:00 and missed that game but we made the game at 1:00. I can't wait until next year. We will have a blast.

We just got back from TMS a couple of hours ago. Finally managed to meet Melissa on Saturday night while Harmonson Road was at it's crazy best! :D :shock: :P

Melissa - sorry I couldn't stay longer - we had quite a group that were walking and they were wanting to move on from the crazy stuff. It was good to meet you though - I was cracking up that you were in the middle of all the crazy people - that's exactly what I would expect from ya!! :wink: :D :lol:

Sorry I didn't get to meet anyone else - the walk to and from the track on top of long days of racing just about wears you out....and then put all the party on top and I'm done! :lol:

Truck race was AWESOME - my little driver Chad McCumbee had the race of his life. A little more experience under his belt and he'd have won that for sure. Busch race was good. The cup race wasn't the highlight of the weekend IMO - long green flag runs that were just burning laps....not exciting racing by any stretch of the imagination. The truck race outshined the cup race by a bunch.

I am going to email TMS tomorrow though. This race was the first time all the years we've been camping at Nascar races where we had problems at the campground. We were hit twice by people stealing stuff from outside our camper, and it wasn't isolated incidents, they hit everyone around us. They didn't get anything the first time because the people camping next to us saw them about 3:30 am on Sat night/Sun morning and ran them off. But they got 3 other campsites around us that night. Here's the REAL kicker to this though - ya'll will NEVER believe this. They actually had the gall to go INTO someone's motorhome and steal a backpack of a kitchen counter. The people that were sleeping on the couch thought that it was the other couple and didn't pay any attention. The guys who stole the backpack emptied it out right outside our camper and the only thing they took was a pit pass (left scanners and other WAY more valuable stuff), they also stole a cooler. A full cooler was stolen from the campsite on the next row to ours. Our friend that camps in Lone Star campground also had his full 120 quart ice chest stolen. So, we packed up everything and locked it away while we were at the race on Sunday and so did eveyone around us....the sons of *$$**@@ stole my flagpole WITH flags right off my camper while we were at the cup race!! :evil: :x :evil: :x

They had to climb the ladder and cut all the zipties but they got the darned thing!! That's the first time I've EVER known there be a problem - but they need to try and do something - that isn't going to fly (excuse the pun) with me. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get them to pay attention I'm all ears.

WHAT a weekend!!!

We arrived on Thursday evening and attended truck qualifying and turned in for an early night. Got up early on Friday morning and the fun started.

I got the call from Darrell and Penny (NORTHSHORE) that they got there fine. The four of us went to the crendential office to get our Pit Passes. I have to say, they are an absolute RIOT. Our entire group loved them!! I got a call from Shirley shortly thereafter and ran out to Justin to go to the David Starr fan lunch at Mr. Jim's Pizza. What a nice group of people! Shirley is a sweetheart...we had a nice lunch and she gave me a cute pig teapot!! (I had the song "I'm a little teapot" stuck in my head for about half the afternoon which was mindsucking). So then Shirley, Steve and my kids loaded up and went to go get Darrell and Penny for qualifying. I adopted the name "Julie the Cruise Director" by the way...hahahah

We get to qualifying and my husband and his friends get down to the entrance and could not get in since they were wearing shorts. So BACK to the camper they all went to change. So I dashed down to pitrow and caught up with Darrell and Penny again. We wandered down pit row and watched qualifying. I struck up a conversation with Chad McCumbie's jackman Dustin (who is also the crew cheif's son). I learned so much from him...what a hands on education I got! He is a super nice guy!! So then my husband finally catches up with the three of us. We wander back down pit row. Keith (Mr. Pig) gets a call from one of his friends (the other former short wearing guys) that they are OVER the wall. I thought they were b.s.ing us...so we wander down a little further...heck if they weren't. So Keith walks over to the wall and asks how they got over...they just followed some camera guys over. So I go over to Paul and ask him if I should attempt it. I jump over and got to watch the last five or six cars from the other side of the wall. HOW cool!!!

Saturday night in the campgrounds was MAYHEM. As Jenny said...we were RIGHT on the main drag. Keith's buddies were out there watching the festivities...so I joined and as we now call it "went fishing". I decided to get into the action (I didn't show anything!!!) so I started handing out bumper stickers and beads. I now have my own groupie pictures...All I can say is I probably disgraced the entire website...but I got a bumper sticker put on two of the most popular girls in the campgrounds...so needless to say...we got ALOT of "exposure". I have some great photos!! THEN if that was not good enough...I decided to "kick it up a notch"...decided to see if I could get some guys to bear it for me. I got more full moons than I have seen in my entire lifetime, and photos of that to back it up as well.

I offered a pair of my "golden pig" beads to any guy willing to ummmmm show it all...yikes...it only took about 2 seconds after I showed the beads. So if you are keeping track...on a grocery list I got melons, buns and franks & beans.

The cup race was a snoozer...the last ten laps were exciting...I am not a Kenseth or Johnson fan but I was cheering them both! WOW...did you see that amazing save Kenseth made coming out of four?? Holy crap batman!!

Got home last night after midnight. I was so incredibly tired. Went to work this morning and only lasted about an hour and a half. Came home and slept until 6:30 this evening. Worn completely out!!

I apologize to the whole gang that I never made it out to trackside live. We were just insanely busy with the size of group we had go with us. You can ask Northshore and Shirley as a reference...I was a running girl on all day on Friday.

Jenny I am sorry we didn't get to spend anytime together...but I am so happy you came by to say a quick HI. Northshore, Shirley and I were going to come by your place on Friday, however the map was out in Shirley's car...Sorry you had a poopie weekend. Just know those people will "get their's" in the end...it floors me they stole your freaking flagpole too!!

I didn't get any beads, nor did I hand any out! :lol: :lol: I'm happy just watching everyone else get crazy. Seems like there was MUCH bigger police presence on Harmonson though. Saw a Brittanny Spears look alike getting bundled into the paddy wagon, and then they had some guy in his long johns that they loaded up. Wish I could have got pictures, but we left the camera at the camper :roll:

We had a great time also. Got back early Mon moring. Had to put in a full day at work and just got time to see how everyone else did. We didn't lose anything, but did manage to mess up the drive train on my scotter. So we had to walk the rest of the time.
I liked the truck race, thought it was a good one. The Bush race was a lot of single file racing. I did think the Cup race was interesting, had a good amount of action, lots of passing. We ate great, drank to much, stayed up too late, made way to much noise and if those **$@%& helicopters start any earlier I am going get even some how.

My camping spot is in Workhorse custom chassis campground, Lonestar Circle (I think they changed the name of this camping area for the Spring), FF-10. I want to be there the first day the campsites open so I hope to meet y'all there!
