My question is has anybody had one of these products that has burned out the upper circuit board and then shorted out the digital thermostat? My recent experience cost dearly as the original installation was not properly done by what I can see. Rain was able top drip onto the upper board,by way of the metal spacers and short out .The cover has an application of stip foam to act as a barrier to keep out liquid and dirt. What I see is wrong is that this foam is not the closed cell type. Water is able to go right through this and leak onto vital electonic parts. I got this unit back from the dealer this way and have since put a light coating of oil on this foam to try to make it water repellant. Just a word of caution!
