This website is an online resource for NASCAR enthusiasts, so if you have a great picture of Lowe's Motor Speedway, send it to us for inclusion here. We also want your track stories.

Lowe's Motor Speedway is a quad-oval with 24 degree banking and a seating capacity of 165,000. Since most teams are based nearby, it's considered the home track for most NASCAR drivers, and known simply as "Charlotte".

Track Walk

Be a Part of History at Lowe's Motor Speedway

This is your chance to get down on the track the morning of the 50th running of the Coca-Cola 600. The walk begins at 8:00 am on Sunday May 24th. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.

Online registration will be available from April 28th through May 19th. The first 100 people to register will receive a commemorative walk tee shirt. Trackside registration will begin Thursday May 21st.

Participants can pick up their wristbands, t-shirts (for the first 100 walkers to sign up) and sign waivers during the following times at the Track Walk Registration Booth located at the red Speedway Children's Charities Rig in souvenir row:

Thursday, May 21 (3 pm - 7 pm)

Saturday, May 23 (2:30 pm - 7pm)

Last minute registration will be at Gate 26 from 7:00am to 7:45am on Sunday morning.

Please note: Participants must pick up wristbands, t-shirts and sign waivers before 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 24th. Walk announcements will begin promptly at 8:00am at Gate 26 located just behind the backstretch. Please note the Track Walk Gate will close at 8:15am and all walkers must be off the track by 9:00 am

*Children 18 and under must have a legal guardian present to sign waiver form

This event will occur rain or shine. Cancellation will occur only due to extreme circumstances, in which case there will be no refunds. Starting time may be affected by inclement weather or other circumstances.

Registration Fee: $25.00 adults. Children 16 and under are free.

Camping at Lowe's Motor Speedway

Lowe's Motor Speedway offers a variety of camping options at affordable prices for event weeks. Standard no hookup camping is available in Rock City, Peninsula, Morehead, Tim Flock and Country Crock which is our "family campground".

For comfort and convenience, campers are provided with shuttles that run to the speedway on event day. Shuttles also run daily to the modern bathing facilities. We separate tents and motorhomes for your safety because of the carbon monoxide they produce. While we do allow the use of a generator, we ask that you turn them off by midnight. Also, for your safety, no open ground fires are allowed. Campfires must be contained in an approved container such as an outdoor fireplace. It must be 8" off the ground, solid bottom, sides and screened top.
