RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY This website is an online resource for Nascar enthusiasts: welcome to our info page for Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. Richmond International Raceway, also known as "America's Premier Short Track", is a 3/4-mile, D-shaped, asphalt race track located just outside Richmond, Virginia. RIR hosts the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series, the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series, and the United States Auto Club Silver Crown and National Sprint Car Series. RIR opened in 1951 and is the only three-quarter mile track on the Sprint Cup circuit.

Gail's comments: Picture Two is cool, on I 95 heading into Richmond for the race. This SUV was passing me and I just had to get a picture of it. Says "Hotel $259. Beer $500. Tailgating at Richmond Priceless' Looked for it at the track but couldn't find them, was going to buy them a beer!!!
